The Urban Folk Quartet presents a show of high-energy, genre-defying acoustic music that will take your breath away. Comprising Joe Broughton, Paloma Trigás, Tom Chapman and Dan Walsh, the award-winning UFQ celebrate their 10th birthday in 2019 and this special show will include favourites from their back catalogue as well as a host of material from their brand new studio album. A sizzling hot ensemble who fuse folk with elements of dub, house and rock with an ease that shouldn’t naturally follow that list of genres.

The Urban Folk Quartet" is The UFQ's debut album, released on Fellside Recordings in 2010. Released 3rd March 2012, this is the second studio album from The UFQ. "One of my favourite bands at the moment and one of the most exciting acoustic groups on the scene today. I really enjoyed their debut CD but I think they've gone well over it with Off Beaten Tracks.

The Modern Folk Quartet (or "MFQ") was an American folk music revival group that formed in the early 1960s. Originally emphasizing acoustic instruments and group harmonies, they performed extensively and recorded two albums. In 1965, as the Modern Folk Quintet, they ventured into electric folk rock and recorded with producers Phil Spector and Jack Nitzsche.
