Nearly 40 years have passed since a group of exceptionally talented studio musicians decided to start their own band and make original music. You release your debut album, the self titled TOTO. A guilty pleasure of mine are the first two tracks, the instumental "Child's Anthem" followed by the driving, disco-ish (used here as a compliment) "I'll Supply The Love". The other minor qualm that I have about this album that Toto did rectify in later albums is that so much of their music really lends itself to background horn parts. You can almost here where some of the keyboard, synth parts would be played by a horn section. This doesnt detract from the music, but is a way to see how they progressed in sound from this solid debut.
