Theme Time Radio Hour‘s final episode aired on April 15, 2009, and though the program enjoyed a lengthy lifespan on satellite radio in the form of repeats, it was eventually dropped from the digital airwaves.

Another cheap attempt at cashing in on the success of Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio shows. While the original shows centered around Dylan's unique presentation, his voice cannot even be heard on this release (or similar ones). Reply See 2 replies Notify me Helpful.

Bob Dylan transformed songwriting in the 20th century by dumping everything into a creative blender, from beat poetry to ancient ballads restrung with vibrantly new lyrics, and he has been inherently postmodern, well aware - even if it was by accident - of how to navigate the emerging ocean of pop culture and the blessing/curse of celebrity. And he's done it with his integrity and privacy intact - quite a feat. Call it all a dialogue with America. Hopefully everyone is listening. Track Listing - Disc 1.

Talk about Bob Dylan / Various - Radio Radio: Theme Time Radio Hour Volume One

Ganthisc
Another cheap attempt at cashing in on the success of Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio shows. While the original shows centered around Dylan's unique presentation, his voice cannot even be heard on this release (or similar ones). Somebody just took some copyright-free recordings (older than 50 years) and pressed them on cd. These songs were indeed played on the Theme Time shows but here they appear in random order, without context and without any connection to Bob Dylan who appears on the cover. Avoid this rip-off.
Cordanara
Yes, albeit in unofficial form, titled "with your host Bob Dylan". Between 2007 and 2011 a european manufacturer released 11 box sets including a total of 114 cds (each box contains between 10 and 14 discs. some of the shows were 2-hour-programmes). The individual cds (factory made, not cd-r!) are housed in clear pvc sleeves and accompanied by a booklet which contains tracklists for each show. These sets were limited to 400 copies each, and especially the early volumes are very hard to find these days.
Buridora
Other than the one that came with Together through Life and the Baseball promo, I've not found any straight copies of the radio shows - has anyone seen any?
