Nouvelle Vague peaked at number 69 on the French album charts, spending a total of 39 weeks in the top 200. The album also charted on Belgian album charts, peaking at number 100 in the Walloon chart and number 96 in the Flemish chart. In 2006, it was reported that the album had sold more than 200,000 copies worldwide. 3 (also known as NV3) is the third studio album by the French band Nouvelle Vague. It was released 16 June 2009 on Peacefrog Records. As with their previous releases, the album consists entirely of cover versions of post-punk and new wave songs from the 1970s and 1980s. Four of the tracks are performed as duets, featuring the song's original vocalist performing alongside one of Nouvelle Vague's female singers.

Nouvelle Vague is a French cover band led by musicians Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux. Their name means "new wave" in French, and refers simultaneously to the French New Wave cinema movement of the 1960s, to the new wave music movement of the 1970s and 1980s, which provides many of the songs that the band cover, and to bossa nova (Portuguese for "new wave"), a musical style that the band frequently uses in its arrangements 2006: Bande à Part. Vague - alternative '80s hits done in a deeply kitsch, sub-Bebel Gilberto sunset-samba style – is one that's so tired, so looooong past any imagined sell-by date that we're honestly astounded it exists.

Vague Us is a 2001 album by the Welsh indie rock band Mo-Ho-Bish-O-Pi. Fraser Middleton writes in the Glasgow Evening Times that "there is a glorious abandon to Mo Ho Bish Op I which is really refreshing. Vague Us sounds like the album the band desperately wanted to make, rather than one the record company or producer manipulated out of them".
