Armageddon is the fifth studio album by German folk metal band Equilibrium. Guitarist, producer and songwriter René Berthiaume considers Armageddon a heavier effort with darker lyrics than previous Equilibrium albums. It also features a higher usage of lyrics in English. Berthiaume said the band concluded some songs would work better sung in English. The opening track "Sehnsucht" contains a quote from Albert Einstein about war and human warrior instinct.

Country of origin: Germany. In February 2010, Equilibrium canceled their appearance at the Winterfire Festival in Germany "due to serious restructuring within the band". It was later revealed that Helge Stang and Manu Di Camillo had left the band. The following month the band announced that Robert Dahn had been chosen as their new singer and Tuval Refaeli as a new drummer.
