Hansi Hinterseer was born on February 2, 1954, in Kitzbühel. The succesful pop singer grew up at the Seidlalm alpine pasture. Very early he learned to ski down into the valley on his skis. Already his father, Ernst Hinterseer, was a famous skier who won the slalom gold medal at the Olympic Games of 1960 in Squaw Valley. In the following years Hinterseer came out with the albums Wenn man sich liebt hat, Ich warte auf dich, Amore Mio or Danke für deine Liebe. At the end of 2005 Hinterseer for the first time reached the top position in the Austrian longplay charts. Up until now thirty golden or platin records by the Austrian, Swiss or German IFPI are the results of his career. 2012 he released his album Im siebten Himmel.
