Backed up by incredible instrumentals and strong shrieks. I'm more than grateful to have this album. Hexekonta Soothing melodies, cheesy keyboards, synth drums, sound like it's been exhumed from a shallow grave. The compositions are impeccable, you can't capture winter melancholy better than this. I fucking love this album, and it's impressive how many hats this band has worn throughout its career. Also, the cheese is delicious.

Nokturnal Mortum' are a black metal hailing out of the Ukraine with a birth date around the early nineties. After a couple of name changes, "Nokturnal Mortum released their first batch of music in the name of " Lunar Poetry". A hard hitting album from start to finish, filled with the fury and ominous keyboard work closely associated with the realms of Burzum and other early black metal bands. As a whole, their sound doesn't exactly sound much different than the rest of the pack but make up for it with tight execution and experimentation to keep you hooked.

Lunar Poetry is Nokturnal Mortum's second demo, released after their rather decent Twilightfall. This demo is very different from the previous one as the band clearly realized they want to play black metal. What makes this release outstanding are the keyboards. I haven't grown tired of listening to this album since I first heard it, and being the first material of Nokturnal Mortum I ever heard, it left me wanting more and more. I don't want to get into the whole discography or anything but I must say that this is a standout album, with none of the others quite reaching the extacy that is Lunar Poetry. If you haven't listened to it yet, shoot yourself, then get your hands on it because this album is one of the greatest black metal albums ever.
