1967–1970 (widely known as "The Blue Album") is a compilation of songs by the English rock band the Beatles, spanning the years indicated in the title. It was released with 1962–1966 ("The Red Album"), in 1973. 1967–1970 made No. 1 on the American Billboard chart and No. 2 on the British Album Chart. This album was re-released in September 1993 on CD, charting at No. 4 in the United Kingdom.

The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The line-up of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr led them to be regarded as the most influential band of all time. With a sound rooted in skiffle, beat and 1950s rock and roll, the group were integral to the evolution of pop music into an art form, and to the development of the counterculture of the 1960s.

I couldn't find any relevant information about this particular collection. There is such a plethora of bootlegs out there that maybe the good Lord only knows from which these were taken. mmmm, these are damn tasty, I decided to post i. .The Beatles 'And In The End (1969-1970 Sessions)' Outtakes and Demos Studio Soundboard Recordings Encoded: VBR MP3. By 1969 the Beatles were tired, very tired. Also they were not exactly getting along. But 1969 yielded some of their most interesting music

The Blue Album brought together 28 Beatles hits, from their 1967 single Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever to Let It B. The front cover of 1967-1970 featured a photograph of The Beatles taken in 1969. Originally intended to adorn the unreleased Get Back LP, which was repackaged as Let It Be in 1970, the shot featured the group recreating their pose on the cover of their debut UK album, Please Please Me. The photographs were taken as The Beatles looked down from the stairwell at EMI House, the label's headquarters in Manchester Square, London. An outtake from the Please Please Me shoot was used on the rear of the Blue Album, and on the front of the Red Album

This album will always hold a special place in my heart for that reason. One of the first Beatles LPs pressed up for export outside of the UK, and it went mostly to Sweden. This English version of Something New has the same track list as the American version. But the song Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand (I Want To Hold Your Hand) officially published in England on the album Rarities, in 1978. 1. First pressing, end of 1964.

The second LP skims three of the more popular tracks off of the sprawling White Album (aka The Beatles) and moves into the late singles ("The Ballad of John and Yoko," "Old Brown Shoe," "Let It Be"), plus single and album highlights from Abbey Road and Let It Be. As a précis of the group's final 36 months, it's all mightily impressive, even if 1967-1970 misses several great songs. But like its predecessor, this set does capture the essence (if not the full range) of the Beatles' later recordings. Track Listing - Disc 1. Sample.
