To be won were the main prizes awarded by the mdw, the Audience Prize sponsored by Hypo Vorarlberg, and further valuable prizes sponsored by organisations including Schloss Schönbrunn GmbH and Seefestspiele Mörbisch. The total value of all prizes this time around totalled € 22,000, and the evening’s live stream logged up to 8,000 views

Otto Eerelman (23 March 1839, Groningen - 3 October 1926, Groningen) was a Dutch painter; best known for his depictions of dogs and horses. He was also a court painter and did several portraits of Wilhelmina, as Princess and Queen. His father was sexton at Der Aa-kerk. He showed an early aptitude for art and, against the wishes of his parents, enrolled at the Academie Minerva in 1860, where he studied with .

Otto Wilhelm Eduard Erdmann (7 December 1834, Leipzig - 9 December 1905, Düsseldorf) was a German genre painter in the Rococo Revival style. His father was the chemist, Otto Linné Erdmann. He began his artistic education at the Leipziger Akademie and later attended the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, followed by the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, where he studied with the genre painter, Ludwig von Hagn.

OTTO EDELMANN was one of the foremost artists of the Vienna State Opera in the early postwar years and a renowned interpreter of several roles in the German bass-baritone repertory, among them Pizarro, Hans Sachs, Amfortas and Wotan, but he gained perhaps his greatest fame as Baron Ochs in Der Rosenkavalier.
