The work of electronic sound sculptor Sutekh resides in that paradoxical grey area between dancability and experimentalism in their attempts to explore the "uncomfortable" regions of dance music. A combined interest in traditional music theory, studies in Electronic Music and Recording Media and a degree in Cognitive Science have naturally imbued Seth Horvitz's discography with a learned sensibility and strong composition. RA talks to the Sandwell District member and post-punk fanatic in advance of the collective's debut compilation. The San Francisco minimalist has a classically-tinged LP in the pipeline.

Sutekh (died 38 BCE) was an Egyptain smuggler living in Thebes during the reign of Cleopatra, and a descendant of Ramesses II, a Pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of Egypt. He was also the nephew of Irsu. Throughout 38 BCE, Sutekh became embroiled in the travels of Bayek of Siwa, a Hidden One looking to lift the Curse of the Pharaohs that was plaguing Thebes.
