Lacy J. Dalton (born Jill Lynne Byrem on October 13, 1946 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania) is an American country singer and songwriter. Dalton had a number of hits in the 1980s, including "Takin' It Easy," "Crazy Blue Eyes" and "16th Avenue. The Night Has a Heart of Its Own". Second album from Lacy was brilliant. Lacy knows about hard times as most people define them (materialistically) but has her own definition of hard times as the song explains. In the next song, Hillbilly girl with the blues, Lacy neatly defines her own musical style, while she illustrates her independent spirit in China doll. Finally Lacy J. Dalton's first Columbia album is on Compact Disc. I personally think it's the best of her Columbia releases and I couldn't be more pleased to give it a renewed listen.
