When I saw the cover, Ike Turner Blues Roots, I was fascinated. Then it was my turn to play 'guess the artist'. Ike was really into his roots for this album. Of course I wore out my copy of the album. To my utter joy, someone decided to put this on disc. And they paired it with 'Bad Dream. This is an album I never heard. But it's got some good features, especially Ike's take on 'Dust My Broom. Thank you to whomever came up with the idea of bring this music back.

Izear Luster "Ike" Turner Jr. (November 5, 1931 – December 12, 2007) was an American musician, bandleader, songwriter, arranger, talent scout, and record producer. An early pioneer of fifties rock and roll, he is most popularly known for his work in the 1960s and 1970s with his then-wife Tina Turner in the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. Turner began playing piano and guitar when he was eight years of age. He formed a music group, the Kings of Rhythm, as a teenager.
