Cheap Trick is an American rock band from Rockford, Illinois, formed in 1973. The band's classic lineup consisted of vocalist Robin Zander, guitarist Rick Nielsen, bassist Tom Petersson, and drummer Bun E. Carlos. Cheap Trick released its debut album in 1977 and first found success in Japan with the release of its second album, In Color, later that year. The band would achieve mainstream popularity in the United States in 1979 with its breakthrough album Cheap Trick at Budokan

All Shook Up is the fifth studio album by American rock band Cheap Trick. Released in 1980, it was produced by former Beatles producer George Martin. As such, this was the first album since their debut to be produced by someone other than Tom Werman. All Shook Up was even quirkier than its predecessor, the platinum-selling Dream Police

And it was during the Japanese tour they recorded material that was put out as their live At Budokan. By some quirk of fate, which often joked like that in the 1970s, this record though initially released only in the Land of the Rising Sun started to attract attention of the US audience. Nevertheless, do not think the band rested on the laurels that they received totally unexpectedly.

In 1979, Cheap Trick bolted to rock superstardom with their mega worldwide platinum release Cheap Trick At Budokan. This classic album set the stage for what would become one of the finest hard rock recordings of all time. Featuring smashes like I Want You To Want Me, Surrender, and Fats Domino's Ain't That A Shame, this LP was a fixture at radio for the next decade and beyond. But then, that wouldn't be possible without the booming drum setup by Bun E. Songs from Dream Police and Heaven Tonight still rock damn hard too. Need Your Love starts slow but gains momentum about halfway through, and towards the end, they really pull out all the stops and it rocks WAY harder than on Dream Police. Surrender does too. Lookout wasn't on any of their albums but it's a great rocker too.
