Incantations is a music studio album recording by MIKE OLDFIELD (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 1978 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Incantations Remastered Interscope Records 2011.

Michael Gordon Oldfield (born 15 May 1953) is an English t and composer. His work blends progressive rock with world, folk, classical, electronic, ambient, and new-age music. His biggest commercial success is the 1973 album Tubular Bells – which launched Virgin Records and became a hit in America after its opening was used as the theme for the film The Exorcist. He recorded the 1983 hit single "Moonlight Shadow" and a rendition of the Christmas piece "In Dulci Jubilo".

This page is a discography for the musician Mike Oldfield. Although the introduction theme was used in The Exorcist, Tubular Bells (1973) was not a soundtrack album. Oldfield was commissioned to produce the music for NASA's The Space Movie in 1979; no soundtrack album was released at the time. However a DVD and CD soundtrack (though the CD content is just the audio track from the DVD, including voiceovers and sound effects) were issued in October 2015.

Incantations ‎(CD, Album, RE, RM). Mercury, Universal UMC. 533 463-6. This, to me, is the greatest album by Mike Oldfield. Its long, and on this album in particular Mike gives each theme time to grow and evolve in ways that he didn't let happen on previous albums. Sometimes on those albums new themes seem to bump up uncomfortably to the previous one. Incantations is a more relaxed and inspirational affair.
