Clay Pedrini - New Dream flac album

I have it and the audio quality is not excellent, it sounds a bit crushed, still payable but a bit disappointing especially when you like the song as much as I do. I haven't compared with the original though.One thing sure, don't buy the .wav files they are terrible.

I brought this for 12.00 + 3.00 for shipping what a bar gone ...lol anyway this reissue sounds fantastic why pay hundreds for an old worn out original. This reissue is awesome.

Sorry but the audio on the B side is terrible. The voice saying "new dream" is completely in overdrive. So I'm not sure where the "restored" audio comes in ....

As far as i know, Severo Lombardoni sold the rights of discomagic (and all the companies he has) to ZYX. How possible would be if, USA company bought the rights from ZYX and Italian label from the composer/producer? Which one is legal? Maybe both of them?

ZYX has the rights of the audio recording. Manlio Cangelli has the rights of the composition. Since both of them used the original recording, the Dark Entries version is more legal. Manlio can license and release it legally ONLY if they re-record the song with new vocals and arrangement.

During the years I made my own company, MC Harmony, which is a Publishing company, recording studios and label, with a big music catalogue on the digital market. Because of my position in the music business, I’ve been encharged by some friend to manage their songs: Clay Pedrini signed many years ago a agreement with MC Harmony about his song NEW DREAM, written and arranged by me but entirely produced by himself, and the producer of BRAND IMAGE and SOME BIZARRE, Marino Scarabelli, signed a similar agreement with my company. ! I’m writing this letter because it happened a very bad story, in this last period: some month ago I’ve been contacted by an american company asking me the license to reprint my old songs, wrote and produced by myself and distributed by the italian distributors of that time. I didn’t close any commercial agreement with this USA company, because in the meantime I’ve been contacted by a italian distributor, Electronix Network, asking my songs for their label LA DISCOTECA. I decided to give my songs to a italian distributor only for nationalism: I thought it would be more logical to distribute our old Italian Disco song through a italian distributor. I personally remastered the songs in my big studio, where I have tape recorders 24 trks and master stereo tapes too. It happened that this company anyway realized their vinyls and now I know that they are proposing, selling, shipping, distributing these records… but without any permission of mine: I asked them to stop this distribution, waiting for our Italian production, but they are going ahead anyway. These records coming from USA are NOT the official ones, authorized by me, and this compelled me to contact a lawyer, encharging him to better protect my work: I already send CEASE AND DESIST letters signed by me, but they ignore them. This the situation, on Monday the lawyer studio will send a official request to immediately stop this distribution, causing deep desease in our marketing plan. Seems that this is not the official reissue of the records and not coming out with the original artwork as the ones on "La Discoteca" that managed the releases together with Manlio Cangelli that I personally consider also with better audio. In this particulary case, the releases on "La Discoteca" have been taken from the original master tapes , restored and mastered by Manlio Cangelli. I'm speaking as a collector and Italo lover and not as a D.J. just looking for the tracks to play. La discoteca is repressing the records 1 : 1 and this is an added value for any Italo record collector as well as the S.I.A.E. sticker .Moreover, on Dark Entries' version of "Orient Express" the tracklist is not as on the original version. I'll go for the ones on"La Discoteca"

One of the finest Italo records with very strong synth

There is just ONE thing, amazing in this release : header design.if to go back to the song, not more than 2 points and not something to put in the car (or at least play in low volume with closed windows).way way overrated(lamers with awful taste), overpriced(lamers hunting suckers with an erection caused by the price) and.. nothing more to say.P.S. put your excitement at the side and start rating songs because they are good, not because they are rare and/or expensive. Average rate of 4.62 - so embarrassing.

I can agree with the "good because overpriced" argument, because this is sadly and more and more usual due to "crap fashion statements virus" (sadly there is this sort of "record collectors") . Other thing is the ( .1 ) record in question (original release) , and even other, is ( .2 ) the issue with the - undoubtedly bad -repress (bad audio and not authorised by the way). Finally, regarding ( .1 ) , I must state that, the "care free" / "lo-fi" style is Super present in various italo releases (it Was for italo and is something very italian connected) , and, in my opinion , in some releases it's like it came for good : I absolutely love New Dream, the original release, it's one of my favorite italo tracks. The instrumentation is superb,absolute smashing, makes my skin like chicken's and the vocals (raw, etcetc - c'mon its "what they could do") just adds up fun and coolness. I just really look forward to a more properly remastered edition from "La Discoteca" then .... (??) ;)

Certainly not! I said that with a smile (like between friends) and the last thing I want is to insult you personally- and I apologize if I did! You're right, really hard for me to understand. What you hear that I don't ? We programmed that differently ? I'm not speaking about the vocal which you barely understand because that's part of the beauty, in my opinion (See my review on Quinn Martin), but in general, seriously, the song is not good. In case you asked yourself (or not) if/why I have it : Couldn't complete Sensation Records without it (:Spontaneous list of songs I love : Amin Peck - Running Straight (Simmons drums for presidency), Katy Gray - Hold Me Tight (seems here too), O'Ryan - She's My Queen, Mark Adams - I Know Your Mind (there's "sad" story here), Bolero - I Wish etc.IMO those are serious stuff, unlike crap like OXO that people admire (you can guess why) and WOW Pedrini...The only song I have on my mind right now that worth alot and also good is Moskow.. That combination of price + quality is "one of a kind"

It became tendency here. I was browsing and checking ENOUGH releases to see how only the rare ones are getting rated (of course that everything else too but, get back to the point) and rated high. And usually with comments of people saying how "this gem is one of my favorites". why noone says that Savage - Only You (I call him Italo for beginners but still not a shame) is one of his favorites ? the song is 70 times better than New Dream, and that's just an example. for me it is kind of showing off "Watch me, I love this song" means "I own it, be jealous!" all begins and end because the value and pose here, not quality. Same like you see a video on youtube of something valuable, the submitter filmed the record itself for "WATCH WHAT I HAVE!". And a reply for you personally : the instrumental are very well done ? the sound is annoying and strident. it gives you shivers along your spine ? you need Ritalin, sorry mate (-: (maybe I need a Ritalin too because I think the song is bad). you are just biased like everyone else. Here it goes "what is valuable is automatically good" and you cannot miss that. Food for thought..
