This is the most complete singles collection for Britney Spears thus far. (The Singles Collection box set would be the most complete up to 2009, but this set is a lot more convenient, has her 2011 hits, and is not as much of a collector's item.) This would be a good starter set for someone looking into her music for the first time, as it contains almost all of her singles. Aside from a few regional only releases or promo singles, three official singles are missing: Born To Make You Happy - international only, Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know, and I Love Rock N Roll. They are replaced by two album tracks: Hot As Ice from Blackout and Out From Under from Circus. This may have been done as an effort to include more "newer Britney," but I think the set would have been even more effective had they just made it a complete collection of singles. Aside from this, it is nice to finally see the top US 20 hit From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart on an official compilation, a song I find terribly underrated. On one final, rather trivial note, I wish they had gotten a better cover image. Of all the eras to pick pictures from, Femme Fatale was not the one, although there are some delightful pictures inside, along with nice liner notes. Overall, if you're looking for the best Britney collection around, here it is. It's nicely priced too - grab it while you can!

ok so let me by first saying this was originally released in Aug 20, 2013. for some reason she took it off iTunes and the CD was put on hold on some websites or the website took it off. well some cd's were sent out to store's (target, walmart, etc.) and i found one. so what did i do? BUY THE FUCKING THING! now really the only new thing about this singles album is that you get songs from Femme Fatale & Scream & Shout. but there was one thing wrong with this CD? when i put this in my computer (for iTunes) Scream & Shout was odd. now i know its a radio edit so it is edit a bit but...there was like a skip almost in it. and i know all of you are thinking you scratched it. well no because it was brand new and the first thing i did was put it into my computer and even i there was a small scratch it wouldn't effect play. So i found another CD at target. what did i do? Buy it. did the same thing as last time. what happened? same skip noise at the same place as the other track. so this must have been the reason it was taken down. they just released it (or re-released) around 8/17/2014. same tracks as the 2013. same times. i don't know if they fixed scream & shout? but i bet they did. i thought maybe she also took it down to put new songs from Britney jean (like work bitch and perfume) nope. not even oh la la is on this. they have hot as ice and Out From Under on this which aren't even singles! they could have replaced it with oh la la and work bitch. but if you have the original 2013 CD. they were wroth a lot of money. people in 2013 were selling them for like $100 or more! now you can find them for like $10... but don't go buy one and try and sell it because really the old ones are not wroth anything at all anymore. but this singles album is great. its updated and everything is remastered up till 3 (& hot as ice and out from under). I'm most likely going to buy this new version and if the skip thing is fixed with scream and shout i will update and fix what i said.

I snagged one of the original pressings, because I heard there was a rights issue. I was surprised that the reissue was still copyright 2013. Apparently there's no way to tell, as mine is still sealed.
