The look of love Is saying so much more than Just words could every say And what my heart has heard Well it takes my breath away. I can hardly wait to hold you Feel my arms around you How long I have waited Waited just to love you Now that I have found you. You've got the look of love It's on your face A look that time can't erase Be mine, tonight. Let this be just the start of So many nights like this Let's take a lovers vow And seal it with a kiss  . Written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, The Look of Love first appeared on the 1967 album of the same name. The Look of Love" Track Info. Written By Burt Bacharach & Hal David. Introduction: This is an essential album for Dusty Springfield fans, but is a nearly perfect pop record, and should have become a generally recognized Classic. My opinion is that the cheesy album design and bad cover photo hurt it almost as much as the fact that it came out when the late sixties' counter culture and hard, "acid" rock began to so overwhelm the music scene that there was little interest in the marketplace for old-fashioned, pretty pop melodies sung by girls in evening gowns and bouffant.

If you're lucky enough and you have a theme that turns into a hit whether it was Dusty (Springfield) singing 'The Look Of Love' in Casino Royale, what was most important there was the sexuality of Ursula Andress wearing very little clothes and making very sexy theme with the saxophone playing the melody of 'The Look Of Love. A number of other artists have covered this song, including Isaac Hayes on his 1970 album. Ashanti's 2003 transatlantic Top 20 hit "Rain On Me" sampled Hayes' version. Springfield might have been the only one who noticed, but she said that she hit a lot of flat notes in the song, which she recorded at 10 o'clock in the morning.

A true mixed bag, from the sensual title track to the melodramatic "If You Go Away," and some fine soul stylings in between, most notably "Small Town Girl" (check out the choruses) and "I've Got a Good Thing. This is the last of Springfield's Philips albums to be released in America (she signed with Atlantic in the . soon after, and the label declined to release most of her Philips' output here).
