C. Was Here is a 1975 album by Eric Clapton. It was recorded live in 1974 and 1975 at the Long Beach Arena, the Hammersmith Odeon, and the Providence Civic Center by Record Plant Remote during Clapton's first tour since Derek and the Dominos in 1970. An expanded version was included as discs 3 and 4 of Give Me Strength: The 1974/1975 Recordings, 5CD/1Blu-Ray set. Side one. "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" (Billy Myles) – 7:52. Presence of the Lord" (Eric Clapton) – 6:40.

Following Eric Clapton's recovery from heroin addition in 1974 and subsequent comeback (announced by 461 Ocean Boulevard), the guitar legend retained his fine band and toured extensively, and this live album is a souvenir of that period. Despite having such pop-oriented hits as "I Shot the Sheriff," .

Was Here, recorded live at various concerts on his most recent world tour, marks Eric Clapton’s return to the role of lead guitarist. Appropriately enough, the album starts with a delicately etched blues phrase from Clapton’s guitar - the rush of notes that leads into the first verse of Have You Ever Loved a Woman. In the past, this song has always been one of Clapton’s most searing and painful vehicles. This time, he treats it with a good deal more objectivity and distance.
