The Sweet - Action flac album

Action" is a self-written and produced 1975 song by the glam rock band Sweet. The song went through several iterations; a 7" single version was recorded at Ian Gillan's Kingsway Studios in London and slightly different versions appear on the albums Strung Up and Give Us a Wink. The single reached No. 15 in the UK in July 1975.

It features songs originally released on RCA Records and Polydor Records, including all their single records spanning from their 1971 UK breakthrough "Funny Funny" and up to their last non-charting "Sixties Man" before the original band broke up in 1982

The song was also covered by Raven (on their 1981 album Rock Until You Drop), by Black 'n Blue (on their 1984 album Black 'n Blue), by power metal band Vengeance Incorporated on their 1988 album Bad Crazy and by Steve Stevens (on his 1989 album Atomic Playboys). Scorpions released it in German translation as "Wenn es richtig losgeht" on the B-side of the single "Fuchs geh' voran" (a translation of "Fox on the Run", also by Sweet).

Ben Edmonds perfectly explains the error of this disrespect in his liner notes to Shout! Factory's wonderful Action: The Sweet Anthology, but even he dismisses the group's earliest bubblegum singles, and their inclusion is a big reason why Action stands apart from all previous Sweet compilations

3. The Lies in Your Eyes. Sweet have always been one of my guilty pleasure bands. There was just something about them that always struck a chord with me. I have quite a few of their albums on vinyl, but had nothing besides the "Live At The Marquee" album on CD (which only contained two original members). When this two CD anthology was released this year I went on a nostalgia kick decided to pick it up. The material has all been remasterd and sounds excellent.
