Silverstar Amoeba basically was a stripped down version of The Death & Beauty Foundation, comprising the duo of Val Denham and Oli Novadnieks. During the mid-'80s, apart from gigging in and around London (including supports for Psychic TV and Einstürzende Neubauten), they also made recordings, using primitive/minimal equipment. Backed by guest musicians on . guitar, sax, bass and percussion, they released complete albums on a number of cassettes, which became cult collector's items through the years
