A Place to Land is the second studio album released by the American R&B group Dakota Moon. It was released in 2002 on Elektra Records and it produced a chart single in "Looking for a Place to Land", which reached on the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts and on the Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks charts. The track "Getaway Car" has been recorded by the country groups 4 Runner and The Jenkins, Christian singer Susan Ashton, and folk-rock duo Hall & Oates.

Dakota Moon doesn't change too much on their second album, A Place to Land, again working with producer Andrew Logan and again going for a somewhat uncanny synthesis of early-2000s urban pop and '70s soft rock. The album-opening title track is perhaps the most typical Dakota Moon moment on the album, sounding like half Backstreet Boys and half Eagles.
