Laughter is the third studio album by Ian Dury & The Blockheads; released in 1980, it was the last studio album Dury made for Stiff Records. It was also the last studio album he made with The Blockheads, until 1998's Mr. Love Pants, though a live album Warts 'n' Audience was produced in 1991. The Blockheads had undergone a significant personnel change since the previous album, Do It Yourself.

These include: - Ian Dury and Davey Payne - Norman Watt Roy and Charley Charles - Wilko Johnson and Ian Horne. Some copies contain a sticker on the reverse stating "Ministry of Adults- WARNING!! Side 2 of this record might or might not be disgusting". Some other examples have the WARNING! sticker adhered to the left side of the front, and a small circular sticker top right 'INCLUDES THE SINGLE SUEPERMAN'S BIG SISTER'. There really is not a good moment on this entire album and that is why they put everyone's picture on the cover so you know who is to blame. Responder Ver 1 resposta Notifique-me Helpful.

Laughter', issued in December 1980, was Dury's third album for Stiff Records, and the only one to feature Dr. Feelgood's original (and best) guitarist, the remarkable Wilko Johnson who co-wrote the hit single 'Sueperman's Big Sister'.

Album · 1979 · 31 Songs. Sueperman's Big Sister. Ian Dury & The Blockheads & The Blockheads. 3. Delusions of Grandeur. 4. Yes and No (Paula). 5. Dance of the Crackpots. 7. (Take Your Elbow Out the Soup) You're Sitting On the Chicken.

The steady dance pulse is still apparent, but it's balanced by rockers and pub singalongs that give the album more depth. That doesn't necessarily make it a better album, however. Dury's humor is at its most basic, as the titles of "Uncoolohol," "(Take Your Elbow out of the Soup) You're Sitting on the Chicken," "Oh Mr. Peanut," and "Fucking Ada" indicate, and his lyrics aren't quite as stunningly fluid as before.

Do It Yourself is a 1979 album by Ian Dury & the Blockheads. The album was released in the wake of the chart-topping hit single "Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick", and reached number two in the charts, behind ABBA's Voulez-Vous. Do It Yourself sold around 200,000 copies, and was Dury's second Platinum album (after its predecessor New Boots and Panties!!). Do It Yourself was released on 18 May 1979 and was part of a huge publicity stunt: Stiff Records released the album with at least 31 sleeves, each one a different Crown Wallpaper design. Crown also wallpapered all of the sets for the Blockheads' subsequent promotional tour.
