Bad News is the self-titled debut album from British heavy metal group Bad News released in October 1987 by EMI. The album features a cover of the famous Queen song "Bohemian Rhapsody" and was produced by Queen's guitarist Brian May. "Bohemian Rhapsody" was released as a single along with music video created for it, written and directed by Adrian Edmondson, who portrays Vim Fuego in the group. The video was released as a video single by Picture Music International.

Overall, Good News Bad News is a cute and hilarious children’s book about the importance of friendship and how it can survive even through the worst situations. I would recommend this book to children ages three and up since there is nothing inappropriate in this book and the narrative is easy enough for smaller children to read through. It is simple but great for new readers to cut their teeth on, so to speak, and it has a simple but sweet ending which reminds us to occasionally to find the good news as needed. Not something experienced child readers will like, but solid enough as a read along or read aloud book with young readers. Apr 26, 2019 Usacnnnews rated it it was amazing.

Even allowing for that, a recent American survey does appear to have revealed at least one interesting detail about news consumption. One of its central findings is that, over the course of 20 years, peoples' interests have remained remarkably similar. In short, they are war, weather, disaster, money and crime. In a list of 19 categories, "celebrity scandals" come last. First, it implies that the regular calls for papers to publish "good news" rather than bad is largely a waste of time. People are stimulated to read by the latter.

Indeed, Good News is a much more lyrically casual and upfront album than any past Modest Mouse record, substituting more conversational and direct observations for Brock's usual wide-eyed, poetic revelations. Similarly, songs like "Bukowski" are much more musically unassuming, relying upon simple but well-structured banjo figures and rhythmic vocal patterns. Yet, for all its transcendent moments, Good News ultimately fails to hold together all that well as an album. The middle sections of The Moon & Antarctica, often criticized for being aimless and overproduced, worked tremendously well towards reinforcing the desolate, paranoid tone of the record as a whole. Indeed, The Moon & Antarctica was an album where moment-to-moment action was often, and wisely, sacrificed for album-unifying ambience. On Good News, however, the lulls are simply lulls.

The album was released by Epic Records on April 6, 2004 on both CD and 180g/m² vinyl record. It was re-released on Dual-disc on October 11, 2005. The first two singles from the album were Float On and Ocean Breathes Salty, both of which debuted on American radio stations in the first half of 2004.

If it bleeds, it leads. No news is good news, and good news is no news. Wars, earthquakes, plagues, floods, fires, sick children, murdered spouses - the more suffering and mayhem, the more coverage.

Olivia: Yeah, go on, bad news first, then the good news will cheer us up! Sarah: OK, well, I had a row with my landlord, finally! And I’m moving ou. .If something works out then it ends well, is solved or is a success. We generally use it when there is uncertainty or a problem of some kind.
