Like most people, my Gary Numan exposure begins and ends with Cars, but I was intrigued, so I checked it out. And was floored. Not a bad song on the album. Numan has always had the knack for these wonderful little melodies, often simple three chord rock-n-roll kind of stuff, but has always done so effectively. To me, he's one of music's lovely little secrets and Splinter is probably his best overall album. If you like one song on this album, you'll need to get the whole album.
