Album When the Kite String Pops. The eighth track of Acid Bath’s debut album, Dope Fiend is about the drug addiction of a person who realizes their actions but decides it could be worse and can’t help but continue those actions. This song has seemingly simpler riffs than those on other songs from the album but doesn’t fail to bang your head. Dope Fiend" Track Info. Written By Acid Bath. When the Kite String Pops Acid Bath.

However, Acid Bath is certainly an acquired taste. Brilliantly and beautifully dark and melodic, every song on The Kite String Pops brings something powerful to the table. The band's own style varies, more or less, from song to song with lighter melodies like The Bones of Baby Dolls, and Scream of the Butterfly, and then deathmetal masterpieces like The God Machine and Toubabo Koomi. I bought When the Kite String Pops, the cd cover was correct but the cd inside was Paegan Terristic Tactics.

When the Kite String Pops is the debut album of American sludge metal band Acid Bath. Released on August 8, 1994, it is considered an underground classic. The album's artwork is a painting made by notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy while in prison awaiting execution. The balloons on the lower part contain both his nickname, "Pogo the clown", and his name, J. W. Gacy.

They released When the Kite String Pops produced by Spike Cassidy in 1994, followed two years later by their second and final effort Paegan Terrorism Tactics (also produced by Keith Falgout). Neither gained them mainstream success, but both albums earned a high degree of underground acclaim. In 2005, another album composed of their demos, Demos: 1993 - 1996, was released. Break-up and subsequent projects

This album is dedicated to Billy Maupins, Kenny and Lisa from Monroe. The remastering was done by Eddie Schreyer at Oasis Mastering.
