DeBarge - Bad Boys flac album

Bad Boys is the fifth studio album released by R&B group DeBarge in 1987, after both El DeBarge and Bunny DeBarge had left the lineup. When El and Bunny DeBarge left the group, remaining members James, Mark and Randy left Motown Records after a seven-year tenure in 1986 and signed with the local Striped Horse label. They then called on eldest brother Bobby (formerly of the group Switch) to join the lineup and produce their album.

The following year, the group hit gold again with Switch II, another Jermaine Jackson-produced album, which included another DeBarge-penned hit, "I Call Your Name. Bobby had troubles producing his solo debut, and his solo career failed to pick up, so he curtailed his aspirations and joined his siblings' group, forming a revamped DeBarge quartet that recorded the album, Bad Boys. Bobby and younger brother James split vocal leads on the project.

Featuring the singles "(Bad Boys) Dance All Night" and "I Got You Babe", with James and Bobby taking lead on the respective songs, the album did not sell well, due to inadequate promotion. While Carol "Peaches" DeBarge has no intention to try a secular solo career, she did participate in a 1991 album featuring members of her family including some of her brothers, sister Bunny and mother Etterlene titled Back on Track. As of 2008, the surviving members of DeBarge have lived quiet lives though they are still contemplating releasing albums.

The group's biggest hit to date is "You're a Woman" released in 1985, which peaked at No. 8 in their home market, Germany. The single did well also in Austria, Sweden and Switzerland peaking at No. 1, No. 6 and No. 2 respectively.

The history of Bad Boys Blue started in Cologne (Germany) back in 1984, when the founders of Coconut Records – Tony Hendrik and his wife, Karin van Haaren vel Karin Hartmann, decided to create a new music project. The original line-up was following: John Edward McInerney (born September 7th, 1957, Liverpool, England), Trevor Oliver Taylor (born January 11th, 1958, Birmingham, England, died January 19th, 2008, Cologne, Germany) and Andrew Freddie Thomas (born May 20th, 1946, Los Angeles, USA, died July 21st, 2009, Cologne, Germany).
