Another great release, with kind of a post-rock feel. Reminds me of a lo-fi Mogwai or Godspeed! You Black Emperor maybe, though I'm not familiar with those bands' entire catalogue.By the way, anyone figure out the lyrics in the 2nd half of side B (where there is actual singing)?

Just sit down in the chair... :-)[Plus four more words]

This guy makes works of genius that nobody will ever hear. Well, there's a few of us out here who give this stuff a shot and I'm glad to be one of them. There is something very human, universal and honest underneath all of the faux-pretention and self-deprecation that Stunt Rock exudes. After all is said and done, he lays it bare like few artists that I know of.

+1 to CaseCase's review; signed up w/ discogs to say as much. An amazing EP (sonically, aesthetically, psychologically). Mr. Flegal deals with the impolite reality of negative/uncertain emotions expertly and beautifully.Different--perhaps more "mature"--than Mr. Flegal's previous releases (Stunt Rock in general, Regret Instruction Manual(s) in particular). I understand that most of the sonic 'bits' of the two featured compositions are recordings/sequences of friends playing live instruments, in addition to the trademark obscure TV/film samples that are peppered throughout.Whatever it is: I like it, and am a proud owner of the release. A shade 'lighter' than his other, darker, prior releases... but certainly no "pick me up".Play it loud and often and to whoever is willing to listen.

Completely different from anything you would expect to hear from Stunt Rock if you're familiar with his work. Very well arranged and a bit more somber than previous Regret issues. A must hear for any Stunt Rock fan. The packaging itself is well worth the purchase. A poster (1 of 4 different designs), 3 stickers, a pin, a book and of course the 10" record and CD-R of the same tracks. All of which make for a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended.
