Pretty Things - Silk Torpedo flac album

The Pretty Things is the self-titled 1965 release by the English rock band The Pretty Things, which features mostly R&B and rock and roll cover versions. A re-issue released in 2000 on CD featured every track from both the American and British versions of the album. The liner notes were written by Jimmy Duncan and Bryan Morrison. Phil May, lead vocals. Dick Taylor, lead guitar. Brian Pendleton, rhythm guitar, backing vocals. John Stax, bass guitar, harmonica, backing vocals.

Parachute, released in 1970, is the fifth studio album by the English rock band The Pretty Things, following . Sorrow and preceding Freeway Madness. It is their first album without guitarist Dick Taylor.

I came to Pretty Things late, with their 1974 release of Silk Torpedo, and yes, it was all due to the splendid artwork, of which little is known. I also wanted to like this band because a best friend was totally into the group. Yes, I realize that none of the songs I've mentioned are part of the Silk Torpedo release, and my reason for mentioning them is due to the fact that those songs seem to best represent what Pretty Things were about, and the road they were attempting to travel.
