Led Zeppelin’s take of the song was part on their monster 1975 double record Physical Graffiti and is dominated by Page’s otherworldly slide guitar work. The No. 1 song on our list of Top 10 Greatest Led Zeppelin Blues Songs might be their most melancholy of all. Released in 1970 on their third record, "Since I’ve Been Loving You," as so many blues songs do, tells the tale of a hard-working man and a up-to-no-good cheating woman who has caused him to lose his worried mind

Led Zeppelin is the debut album by English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released on 12 January 1969 in the United States and on 31 March in the United Kingdom by Atlantic Records. The album was recorded in September and October 1968 at Olympic Studios, London, shortly after the band's formation. It contains a mix of original material worked out in the first rehearsals, and remakes and rearrangements of contemporary blues and folk songs

Led Zeppelin took some liberties, I must say, Page admitted. As far as my end of it goes, I always tried to bring something fresh to anything that I used, he claimed. He put the blame on Plant: Robert was supposed to change the lyrics, and he didn’t always do that, which is what brought on most of the grief. This song, more than any other track on Led Zeppelin’s debut album, established their epic sweep. It was written by American folk singer Anne Bredon in the 1950s: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, however, were fans of Joan Baez and knew the track from her 1962 album Joan Baez in Concert, Part 1. (Page has said that he learned the song in the days of sitting in the darkness, playing my six-string behind Marianne Faithfull.

Best Led Zeppelin Albums. Nickname No compliation or live albums, just the 9 studio albums. This is the only Zeppelin album where I don't feel the need to skip a single track on it any time I listen to it. On the debut I would skip Black Mountain Side. On III, I would skip most of the second side.

Led Zeppelin had a fully formed, distinctive sound from the outset, as their eponymous debut illustrates. Taking the heavy, distorted electric blues of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Cream to an extreme, Zeppelin created a majestic, powerful brand of guitar rock constructed around simple, memorable riffs and lumbering rhythms. But the key to the group's attack was subtlety: it wasn't just an onslaught of guitar noise, it was shaded and textured, filled with alternating dynamics and tempos. As Led Zeppelin proves, the group was capable of such multi-layered music from the start.

Led Zeppelin are widely considered one of the best 70s bands and one of the best rock bands of all time. Led Zep formed in the UK in the late '60s, with a lineup consisting of Robert Plant on vocals, Jimmy Page on guitar, John Paul Jones on bass, and John Bonham on the drums. Tragically, the band's future was cut short in 1980, when Bonham died of an accidental alcohol overdose leading to inhalation of vomit. This Led Zeppelin discography is ranked from best to worst, so the top Led Zeppelin albums can be found at the top of the list.
