rex allen, rex allen jr Rex Elvie Allen December 31, 1920 – December 17, 1999 was an American film and television actor, singer and songwriter, known as "the Arizona Cowboy" and as the narrator of many Disney nature and Western productions For his contributions to the motion pictures industry, Allen received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1975, located at 6821. The Smooth Country Sound of Rex Allen.

Rex Allen Jr. (born August 23, 1947) is an American country music singer, who started singing at the age of six; he had followed in the footsteps of his father, Rex Allen, a singing cowboy and the narrator of many Walt Disney films. Allen followed his father's footsteps as a film narrator when he lent his voice as narrator of the Jim Carrey movie, Me, Myself, and Irene. Allen was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Rex Allen.

Rex Allen J. despite his impressive string of 21 Top 40 country hits on Warner Brothers in the '70s and early '80s, has not been well represented in the digital age. The Very Best of Rex Allen Jr. is budget-length but mid-priced, providing less than half an hour of music. The disc collects only ten of his recordings, and some of his bigger hits are passed over in favor of lower-charting singles. One of these, "The Great Mail Robbery," failed to crack the Top 40 at all, but it was Allen's first charting single from 1973

Rex Allen Jr has one of the cleanest, clearest voices in the world of singers and professional narrators I've ever heard. I love to sit back in my recliner and listen to this CD over and over again. Rex's great voice also blends beautifully with other singers. If you love country and/or cowboy music, The Very Best of Rex Allen, jr is one CD that you'll enjoy. One person found this helpful.
