J. Barnes (born November 11, 1943, Detroit, Michigan, USA) is an American soul singer and songwriter. His biggest hit in the US was "Baby Please Come Back Home" which reached on the US Billboard R&B chart in 1967. He is the brother of Ortheia Barnes. Now She's Gone, Hold On To It ‎(7", Single).
