Black Marble - It's Immaterial flac album

Their first for Ghostly, It’s Immaterial follows up their EP Weight Against the Door (Hardly Art) and highly acclaimed debut full-length A Different Arrangement (Hardly Art).

It's Immaterial is the second studio album by American electronic music project Black Marble, released on October 14, 2016 through Ghostly International record label. It is the project's first album not to feature Ty Kube, making it a solo project of the other member Chris Stewart.

As a former radio DJ, I’m always seeking new underground bands and musical projects to tell friends about and for me Black Marble was that artist I commonly brought up first. But as an underground artist they remained a mystery with very little online presence and no word about any new music. Still I held out hope that they would emerge with something new or even just a live show. The now California based artist Black Marble released their latest album It’s Immaterial via Ghostly International in October 2016 to much fanfare. This was much in thanks to excited underground fans like myself and proper promotion from their new label. Fans of the earlier A Different Arrangement will not be disappointed in this updated version of Black Marble’s muted darkwave sound.

He took over the band's name again and started working on another album, 2016's It's Immaterial. Anyone who liked the gloomy, muted sound of the first record, which mixed together Stewart's disembodied vocals, Peter Hook-style basslines, janky drum machines, and synths so cold they'd freeze water, won't be disappointed with this record. If anything, Stewart's solitary work arrangement led to a more focused and direct sound. He boosted his vocals a little, cleaned up a bit of the murk, and gave the hooks a little more room to maneuver
