) is the third full-length album from Icelandic band Sigur Rós, first released in February 2002. It comprises eight untitled tracks, divided into two parts: the first four tracks are lighter and more optimistic, while the latter four are bleaker and more melancholic.

The discography of Sigur Rós, an Icelandic post-rock group, consists of seven studio albums, three remix album, five extended plays, one soundtrack album, sixteen singles, twenty-three music videos and two video albums. Sigur Rós was formed in 1994 in Reykjavík, Iceland, by singer and guitarist Jón Þór Birgisson, bassist Georg Hólm and drummer Ágúst Ævar Gunnarsson.

The first catalog number is printed on the sticker and on the disc front. The second one is printed on the sticker. That aside, this is a great album, if a little patchy. For me the highlights are the opener (forgive me for using the set list names) 'Vaka' and the closer 'Popplagið' - arguably Sigur Rós's finest moments. The former is a largely ambient piece ending in a majestic rush of strings and keyboard effects, whilst the latter morphs from upbeat to a truly crushing finale with some of the finest drumming I've heard.

Sigur Rós Articles and Media. The duo of Jónsi and Carl Michael von Hausswolff recorded whales and bats for the new album. Sigur Rós' new album Kveikur is their first without founding member and keyboardist Kjartan Sveinnson, a record reacting to the impossible standards set by their groundbreaking early work by exposing their gnarled roots and demonic impulses. Talk about Sigur Rós - ( )

Damand
The story of the Icelandic band Sigur Ros then is one of the success stories in pop music. The fairytale music does in few think of the music of their generation or to the thin, experimental sounds of Radiohead. The second album of the group, with many strings caparisoned Aegetis Byrjun (1999), gave the Group an indestructible cult status. On the successor () is done everything the mythical appeal of the Group again. In the beautiful cd case is not to find some additional information. In the scant texts limited singer Jon Por Birgison turned to a mixture of Icelandic and ' Hopelands ': a made-up fairy tales language. All the attention goes so finally to the wonderful music of the foursome, in which although the minimalist influence of Philip Glass and Wim Mertens, but which, above all, unique in its kind.
