Talk about Various - Wipeout

I'm just guessing on this one, but perhaps you mean this? Again, I'm just guessing so forgive me if this is not what you're referring to. Here's the link for what I think you're talking about: https://www.discogs.com/Various-wipEout-The-Music/release/11518052

US version of this game does not have tracks by Orbital, Leftfield or The Chemical Brothers.

Probably one of the all-time, most prodigiously influential electronic trance / techno music pieces to those not already geared towards to genre already. Having access to all walks of life who owned a ps1 was a boon. Having a full house of brilliant music was the tipping point. Cold Storage nailed the soundtrack so completely it's for me almost the last word in the Wipeout stables music; the rest merely big name artists with big tracks, hanging on his coattails. It's that good. All credit to Orbital's P.E.T.R.O.L. for being as brilliant and fitting in seamlessly, but its Cold Storage's tracks that I still listen to on a regular basis.
GODMAX
Sometimes i listen to this album and i think of him. he sit's there, in front of his desk on a computer and creates one tune after another. and he can't help but FREAK THE SHIT OUT HOW CRAZY AWESOME THESE TRACKS ARE, WHERE THEY COME FROM, AND WHY THEY MOLD TOGHETHER LIKE A GOD GIVEN GIFT.sorry... had to be said.
Lonesome Orange Kid
The in-house created music of WipEout exemplified how great the new CDDA-playback was going to be in CD-ROM based Videogames along with Namco's Tekken and Ridge Racer. It is one of the soundtracks that still sends a chill down your spine, memorizing you that the 90's was the time where all great arts melted together seamlessly. The music by Cold Storage has many elements in it; from breaks to guitar-riffs to a 303-sound. Is there a personal favorite? Well, that's a difficult-to-answer question, because every track is great in it's own right and isn't really comparable. Doh T, Operatique and Cold Comfort are very deep and emotional tunes with an incredible build-up, while Cairodrome and Messij belong to the most uplifting tunes of the PlayStation WipEout-soundtracks, but are sounding completely different due to their instrumentation. All-in-all a highly recommended masterpiece that takes the listener back to the Golden Age of Videogames...once again!

The very first Playstation game i ever bought, way back in 1995.What a surprise i got when i popped the CD into my car CD player for a laugh and got the soundtrack playing!Superb tracks here,a standout for me is "Messij"(later remixed by Tim Wright AKA Cold Storage, and released on his 2005 album"Melt")the tracks are all pretty good with "Afro Ride"by Leftfield also a fine addition.Playing the game with its (by now)dated visuals is still a rush, and the soundtrack only enhances this experience.Sadly, the tracks were never released as a full "gametrack" album, but they are available for free download on Cold Storages' website.
