Herbert Arthur Wiglev Clamor Grönemeyer (born 12 April 1956) is a German musician and actor, popular in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He starred as war correspondent Lieutenant Werner in Wolfgang Petersen's movie Das Boot, but later focused on his musical career. His fifth album 4630 Bochum (1984) and his 11th album Mensch (Human) (2002) are the third and first best-selling records in Germany respectively, making him the most successful artist in Germany with combined album sales over 13 million.

12 (Herbert Grönemeyer album). 12 is the twelfth full-length album by German singer Herbert Grönemeyer, released in March 2007. It was recorded between 2006 and 2007 in London and was produced by Alex Silva and Herbert Grönemeyer. All songs were written by Grönemeyer, except the song "Spur" to which Arezu Weitholz contributed parts of the lyrics. The Album reached 1 - Position in German Charts. The first single "Stück vom Himmel", became his third number-one single in Germany after "Mensch" and "Zeit, dass sich was dreht".
