The Greatest Hits of Boney M, The Village People. Shortly after the worldwide success of the Nightflight to Venus album, disco/soul singer-songwriter, Millie Jackson covered "Never Change Lovers in the Middle of the Night'" (a Marcia Barrett lead vocal) for her 1979 album, A Moment's Pleasure. It was released as a single and became a Top 40 R&B chart hit for Jackson, peaking at #33.

The Greatest Hits is a greatest hits album of recordings by Boney M. released by BMG in the United Kingdom in late 2001. While the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark celebrated Boney M's 25 year anniversary with comprehensive double albums, BMG UK opted for a one disc release, The Greatest Hits, which is an updated version of 1992's Gold - 20 Super Hits containing a new remix of 1976 break-through single "Daddy Cool", also a Top 30 hit in the UK in 2001

In 1977, Boney M. released their second album, Love for Sale, which contained the hits "Ma Baker" and "Belfast". The group embarked on their first major concert tours with a live band of musicians called 'The Black Beauty Circus' (given their name after Maizie Williams' first band, 'Black Beautiful People'). 1978 was the group's biggest year. While it had never been a secret that Bobby Farrell never sang on the group's records (Farian did the male vocals in the studio), in 1978 it became public knowledge that Maizie Williams did not sing on the studio recordings either, since "her voice wasn't suited for this kind of music" as Farian stated in an interview with German.

Boney M - The Greatest Hits. Originally founded in 1975 by German record producer Frank Farian, they dominated the UK and European charts with a string of memorable hits, such as 'Rivers Of Babylon', 'Rasputin', 'Daddy Cool', 'Ma Baker', 'Hooray Hooray It's A Holi-Holiday', 'Mary's Boy Child' and many, many more, all of which are featured on this fabulous collection.
