New (stylised as NEW) is the sixteenth solo studio album by Paul McCartney released on 14 October 2013 in the United Kingdom and the following day in the United States. The album was his first since 2007's Memory Almost Full to consist entirely of new compositions. The album was executive produced by Giles Martin, with production by Martin, Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns and Paul Epworth and it was mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound, New York.
New Moon Over Jamaica. Written by Paul McCartney, Tom T. Hall, Johnny Cash. In May of 1988, Johnny showed up at Paul’s studio in England wanting to record the song, for inclusion on his upcoming album Water From The Wells Of Home. He had brought along Tom T. Hall, another country singer friend of his and the two of them had made a few modifications to the song. Tom and Linda McCartney sang harmony vocals. TO CHANGE: Unlike Johnny’s country version, Paul’s demo is done with a reggae beat.
Paul McCartney songs like Dear Boy" and I'm Carrying show the ex-Beatle never lost his flair. 1. Dear Boy (1971) Ram was McCartney’s first great solo album, a kind of one-man studio effort (with occasional help from wife Linda) that showcased his melodic flair, production cleverness, and off-the-cuff songwriting. This track begins as a simple piano tale of a guy addressing the ex of his new love. But then the backing vocals kick in with countermelodies from every angle, and pretty soon you’re awash in a dizzyingly tuneful sea and won’t ever want to come back ashore. 2. Dear Friend (1971) John Lennon sideswiped McCartney with How Do You Sleep? in 1971, a vicious lambasting of Paul’s perceived lack of talent.
Paul McCartney and Wings New - 180gram Vinyl - Sealed UK vinyl LP. Product details. Sir Paul McCartney could easily not put out an album for years and still be the premier artist today. The fact that after 50 years of performing he can still find inspiration to not only put out quality material but put out material that at times can be timely and at other nostalgic Macca is overwhelming. The album opens with the rocker "Save Us" which revisits the old Macca format of a driving guitar and that familiar McCartney bass style. From there this album takes you on different avenues
