Five legendary Cuban jam sessions originally released over a span of almost a decade (1956-1965) by Cuba’s first independent record label Panart

The five volumes of the ‘Cuban Jam Session’ albums were recorded over a span of almost a decade, from 1956–1964

Cuban Jam Session Vol. 1 and Vol. 2) led Panart to record a third session directed by tresero Niño Rivera in 1957. The same year, Cachao was called up to record his own sessions.

Panart continued withCuban Jam Session, Vol. 3 directed by Niño Rivera. In 1957, Cachao organized a group to record Cuban Jam Sessions In Miniature: Descargas for Panart.

Cuban Jam Sessions in Miniature is the debut album by Cuban double bassist Cachao, released in 1957 by Panart. The album is composed of descargas, improvised jam sessions with Cuban themes.
