Album – Generic Flipper, Gone Fishin', Public Flipper Limited and Sex Bomb Baby! were reissued on compact disc by Water Records in the US and Domino Recording Company in the UK, and on vinyl by the Runt Distribution imprint 4 Men with Beards. Flipper played two shows at San Francisco's Bottom of the Hill on October 10 and 11, 2015, with DeSmartass returning on bass and David Yow (formerly of Scratch Acid and the Jesus Lizard) on vocals.

Public Flipper Limited Live 1980–1985. Public Flipper Limited is the second live album by San Francisco-based punk rock band Flipper, released in 1986 by Subterranean Records. It features recordings from 1980–85. The title is a nod to John Lydon's post-punk outfit Public Image Ltd. Earlier the same year Public Image Ltd. had released an album titled Album whose title borrowed that of Flipper's debut release, Album. New Rules No Rules (2/24/80, San Francisco) (2:19).

2-CD set) Public Flipper Limited was originally released in 1986 as a double LP of live material culled from 1980-1985. The sound quality and playing are both a grimy, distorted mess, which suits the band just fine. Always alternating between endearing and abrasive Flipper left no room for the middle ground of 'like. The album title is a shot at John Lydon and his alleged plagiarism of Flipper's artwork for his own PIL and it proves that Flipper was never opposed to alienating its audience, no matter how sanctified.

The sound is messy and grimy, but that enhances the experience, but it's also easy to see that Album was without a doubt their benchmark record and that even the good material released after it (like this LP) couldn't equal its high (low?) standards. Track Listing - Disc 1. Sample.
