The Voyager Golden Records are two phonograph records that were included aboard both Voyager spacecraft launched in 1977. The records are a sort of time capsule.

In 2004 the WOMADelaide Foundation was set up as a non-profit body to present the festival and special projects for remote Indigenous arts communities. In 2010, in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Adelaide Festival of Arts, WOMADelaide extended to four days. Due to overwhelming popularity, the festival has now permanently taken on the fourth da. .In 2008 WOMADelaide won the FasterLouder Festival Award for best Sound & Production Festival site.
