DJ Soul Slinger's third proper mix album, recorded for Mixer's excellent Rewind series, finds the rican turntablist airing a fresh sound for all those stateside junglists still latched on to the increasingly dated sound of dark, British-based drum'n'bass. One Sound System One Music charts the sound of his Liquid Sky label circa 2001, with rubbery basslines and a funkier sound that makes more sense in a club setting than relentless darkness.
