Dukinos
This single gave life to EDM/Jump Up music. Shit bruh.
Akta
While this track is widely regarded as a classic, I do kinda see your point.

Anyone have any info on the repress of this? I picked up a copy in a DJ-specific record shop in Rome a while back, and it looked too new to be an original. Just came in a black sleeve.

I recently bought a repress of "Music Sounds Better With You" which was released on Roule as well and it also came in a black sleeve.
romrom
usually Roulé represses have a generic black die-cut sleeve while the original presses have the classic full coloured sleeve, so I think you picked up the repress!

Agree with the reviews here - a great record in its own right except that: (a) it was a pain to mix into (my trick was to mix into the bit half way through where it breaks down slightly); and (b) it seemed to spawn so much hideous junk. This sort of French filter disco house was great at the time but this record was the high-point of the excesses of the Roule sound. It was a real shame that a whole genre unimaginatively took these ideas further and further, whilst adding on horrible, lazy production techniques.

DJ Falcon’s ‘Together’ remains a personal highlight of 2001, and I suspect this could well find a place into this year's winners circle come December. As with the aforementioned that looped just the one word for the entirety of the track, here it’s a single sentence that is repeated ad infinitum over a typically Daft Punk-sounding bassline. So simple, and yet totally complex. A hit is born.
Defolosk
I love Bangalter and Falcon's done some corkers, but much as Nick says previously, I really dislike this record for everything it seemed to encourage and excuse...
RUsich155
was the vocal stole from "the real thing"sample???
Ucantia
They did not steal it, they sampled

Yes, this is a great track - i remember Radio 1 started to playlist it at the time, but because it WASN'T going to get an official release, they stopped. This one could have gone all the way to the top. The only negative thing about this record (like most of Bangalters) is its a right sod to mix into smoothly. There is a cracking white label remix that i have and prefferred to play out in the clubs at the time, I believe its the Doublefunk remix. This is a more clubbier, DJ friendly version of the tune. I agree with what one reviewer said though, this along with Benni Bennassi "Satisfaction" are the records responsible for the "Electro House" of today, which somehow, just isnt as good as the older disco influenced house. Shame.
Madis
I have a total love/hate relationship with this record. While it's truly an amazing "feel good" record like the previous reviewer described, very well produced, sounds wonderful on the dancefloor, one of the best House records of all time, etc etc. It is in my opinion that this record changed House music forever...And not for the better! Producers started to copy its formula almost instantly (as they do with most productions that Daft Punk is somehow behind), and within about a year, Disco house we pretty much dead and a new style of French House was born. Then, a few new DJs & producers ruined House further by injecting House with farty, annoying basslines and calling it "electro." It is said that many things revolve in a 20 year cycle (I mean, look at fashion these days). So perhaps, it was only natural that House music would take on an 80's pop influence and drop the 70's Disco influence. I think it will be a lot of fun to relive the 90's in EDM once more. But anyways--Many have tried, tried and tried, but no House producer can come close to recreating the amazing sound and energy of "So Much Love To Give." This is of course, just my opinion. But I will say I really do miss French House from 1998-2002. And I know a lot of people that agree with me.

This track is almost impossible to play in a DJ set - it starts directly with vocals, loops over and over again for like 10 minutes and ends the same way it started! You might not appreciate it's repeditiveness at first, but after hearing it some times you'll definately get hooked!
Camper
An excellent tune, full of energy and with the ability to get me smiling every time. The endlessly looping vocal does begin to grate however. Try the United Friends of Funk remix for a far more subtle alternative.

yet another great release from roulé. although i really don't appreciate those one sided vinyl releases on the roulé label (they could at least put some other mix oder a remix on the b-side), this one is definitely worth to get. the track is an upbeat hymn with an extensive used vocal-loop, reminding of daft punks gorgeous "superheroes".
