Other than their greatest-hits compilations, this by far is the Dells' finest LP release. Bobby Miller excelled in assembling this strong package. The six-minute-plus "Stay in My Corner" remains a live show staple and R&B classic. Written by Wade Flemons, Bobby Miller, and Barrett "Money" Strong, the epic ballad shattered the belief that pop songs had to be three minutes or less to get airplay; it was a remake of a shorter version by the Dells released on Vee Jay in 1965.

Oh, What a Night" is a song first recorded by the doo-wop group the Dells and released in 1956, originally under the title "Oh What a Nite". The song is said to have been inspired by a party, which had been held in the Dells' honor by some female friends of the group. The Dells' original recording on the Vee Jay label peaked at number four on the R&B singles chart. In 1969, they refashioned it as a soul song on the Cadet label.

The Dells release a cool vibin' album here in 1968, but their history goes way back to the early 50's, and their original style was more y rock n roll(think 1956's Oh What a Nite and another classic "Why Do You Have to Go?"(1957)). There Is still contains the original harmony and Doo-Wop type singing on many tracks, yet their sound is well-updated for the late 60's ballad and uptempo soul/funk style. The title track is a groovy uptempo number with strings and melodies for years. There are plenty Dells Lp's that are better, But for shear harmony and classic vocalize nothing comes close. The arrangements if you listen close enough,Reminds me of the early Motown rhythm section and band (The Funk Brothers). They were known to moonlight on other labels and with Detroit so close to Chicago and Chess records, It's not to far fetch.
