The Salzburger Hofmusik performs under Wolfgang Brunner, who is regarded as one of the leading specialists in the field of historical keyboard instruments. I have often found the symphonies of Michael Haydn to be refreshing lesser alternatives to those of his more famous older brother. In the case of these wind concertos, however, I will stick with Franz Joseph. Most of the works on this disc I found to be rather dull and uninteresting, though the Flute Concerto has a moment or two of interest.
