Uncommitted is XIA's first single. It consists of title track "Uncommitted" and an oriental version of the title song of his first Korean studio album Tarantallegra, which was released earlier in 2012. Both songs on this single are sung in English. The R&B track "Uncommitted" was composed by Bruce 'Automatic' Vanderveer.

Read uncommitted is the weakest of the four transaction isolation levels defined in the SQL Standard (and of the six implemented in SQL Server). It allows all three so-called "concurrency phenomena", dirty reads, non-repeatable reads, and phantoms: Most database people are aware of these phenomena, at least in outline, but not everyone realises that they do not fully describe the isolation guarantees on offer; nor do they intuitively describe the different behaviours one can expect in a specific implementation like SQL Server. The oriental version of "Tarantallegra" added some Korean touch to the original song by using the traditional Korean instrument called kkwaenggwari and Xia also sang in Korean style towards the end of the song.

While Uncommitted is an english track, Xia Junsu chose to incorporate the sound of a gong with a traditional Korean musical instrument. The song has a strong oriental feel to it. We inserted the traditional musical instrument Kkwaengwari in the chorus and improvised a Korean singing style of ad-lib towards the end.
