Complete your DJ Krust collection. There are definately 3 versions of 'Angles' from back in the day. One was released, as listed here. The ORIGINAL mix did not get released, and is similar to the release, but with different 'strings' - and WITHOUT the vocal sample from 'Carlito's Way'. There is also a third mix, with a slightly different intro which has beats - like a DJ MIX. This did not get released either.

Agree. Jack Frost starts his set at Hysteria 9 with the original. Didn't notice different strings but it's basically like the released version without any vocal samples or fills etc on every 16 bars to keep it rolling.. The other version I know of was on a Dnb Arena compilation & is basically the released version but with beats instead of the trumpets on the intro
Shistus
It's all about that 32 bar b-line. Rollin, uplifting sounds.
Blackseeker
Both sides run at 33 RPM NOT 45 RPM as stated or is to be expected- Compared with the samples here and what I know from the V-Compilation tin box. Don't play it at 45 RPM or you got Mickey Mouse high pitched vocal samples !!!!
Inerrace
My copy plays fine - an old pressing that is free of surface noises .

Ok now this makes sense. The version of Angles on the video on this page is from the version of the track that was released on the Retrospect Vol 1 Album (CD 1) on V Recordings. The intro is different to the version originally released on the Angles/Not necessarily a man 12".

I have two copies of this excellent DJ Krust V classic. Both my copies, appear to be very badly pressed. And the needle vibrates in the groove, and it's a miracle if it plays all the way through with it jumping or skipping!Anyone else have this problem?
lacki
Had forgot about this, used to happen all the time. I have the repress from sometime in the noughties, not sure what the original press is like..
Winenama
Angles always skips.
Ximathewi
I had several copies with this problem back in the day. Don't know if decent playable copies of it exist.
Kuve
This version's intro is completely different to the original. What this version is, I have no idea.
Xanna
What is the version on the video? Extra intro beats and cleaner, re-arranged samples than the 96 version - or is it just me?
