Böhse Onkelz (German pronunciation: ), derived from the German die bösen Onkel (literally "evil uncles") is a German rock group formed in 1980 in Frankfurt am Main. The band was reunited in 2014. Despite mass-media criticism concerning their past as skinheads, several of their later records topped the German album charts (selling over 5,338,000 records and 425,000 videos or DVDs). was their most successful album, with over 510,000 copies sold.

The Böhse Onkelz had barely gotten the announcement of their comeback out before the old controversy surrounding the band flamed up again. Fans are excited, while critics ask whether the musicians have really stepped outside of the shadow of their past. The band from the Frankfurt area - whose name could be translated as "Wikked Unclez" - long had a reputation for close proximity to the right-wing scene. In the years after their founding in 1980, it's evident that the Onkelz sympathized with and sang to the right-wing scene.
