Genetic Art. This applet lets you create art using a genetic algorithm. It generates a random mathematical function and displays an image representing the function in the centre square. It also generates twelve random variations on the image, displayed in the squares around the outside.

Genetic Art. Genetic art is the creation of images based on the random crossing of mathematical expressions. The process of creating genetic art starts with an initial gene pool randomly generated with several specimens with different expressions. These expressions could be things like gradients where the angle, the width, and the colors used are randomly determined. Expressions also include combining the results of other expressions. This layering of expressions can produce interesting results

Genetic art is art that involves DNA.
