Hypnoskull is Sint-Niklaas, Belgium based musician Patrick Stevens (b. 1973) who, according to his myspace profile, founded Hypnoskull in 1992. Stevens was introduced to music at a young age, and became quickly involved in the Belgian and German alternative music scene. Talk about Hypnoskull - Operation Tough Guy!

in waiting
For the same reason many people seem to not like this album, I absolutely adore it. It has an awesome lo-fi, punk-ethic/diy feel to it. This is some of the rawest industrial/power noise/breakcore out there, and I can definitely respect that. Fans of lo-fi techno and fucked-up beats shouldn't be disappointed, but if you're looking for something overproduced and polished, you might want to venture elsewhere! This will probably always remain my favorite Hypnoskull album!

It's gotta be hard for Hypno to sell so many of there previous albums, and then come to this. This boxset was like buying totally crappy cereal with pretty interesting prizes inside; I didn't like half the tracks on either CD, and this really didn't impress me with the idea to scream lame words and phrases over cool beats. It worked in the past, but this collection had a few too many boring songs with nothing going them but screaming. I'd get anything with a converter remix, but this was pretty lame.

operation was the last recording in a kind of experimental lofi Rythm Noise Section. With the following releases he tried to get rid of that style more into the breakcore thing. For me it sounds like the technical perfection what he was doing over the years before, while the following release "Dark Skies" sounds way more experimental and varied.
