Des Attractions Désastre. Written-By – Etienne Daho. Written-By – Etienne Daho, Stuart Moxham. Daholympia ‎(MD, Album).

Sounding like a French version of the Wolfgang Press at one moment and Bruce Cockburn the next, Etienne Daho crafts a very unique blend of styles. Daho is lucky to have such an interesting set of genres at hand, because he actually has quite an uninteresting voice.

tienne Daho (pronounced ) (born January 14, 1956 in Oran, French Algeria) is a French singer, songwriter and record producer. He has released a number of synth-driven and rock-surf influenced pop hit singles since 1981. He sings in a low, whispery voice somewhat akin to Leonard Cohen or Chet Baker and his music established him as a pop cult hero. He cites Serge Gainsbourg, The Velvet Underground, The Beach Boys and Syd Barrett as his musical influences.

This is Etienne Daho's second live album released 4 years after the first one ("Live ED" - 1989). What makes this album different and remarkable is the sound of the band - as more emphasis is given to the rhythm section, the bass particularly, that makes the songs shine and gives them new life. The sound is very similar to the last studio album he had released prior to this one ("Paris Ailleurs")
